I put this same issue on the Skyrim nexus forums itself and have gotten no response, so I'm going to Steam Workshop now. Anyway, my NMM's (Nexus Mod Manager) Download Manager is filled with so many of my downloaded mods that when I try to download a new one, it takes forever to find it in the list of mods in the manager. In the Mods section, click on one of your files and press Ctrl + A to select all mods. This will reveal the batch menu at the bottom of the window. From here, click the "Remove" button. In the delete popup, you will have the option to also remove the archive which was used to install the mod. MANUAL DOWNLOAD: To add a mod to MO that you downloaded manually, click the computer and CD symbol (Install a new mod from an archive) on the main top left tool bar, navigate to where your mod is located, and double click it. INSTALLATION: Once a mod has been added it will appear in the left panel. Click the box next to it to install it.
In Vortex click on the "Purge Mods" button so that the only things left in your Skyrim folder are the unwanted plugins. Open your Skyrim folder and manually delete the plugins. You may also need to delete any files (meshes, textures, scripts, etc.) that came with the plugins. Then, in Vortex, click on the "Deploy Mods" button. Trying to find mods I care about or that I consider core to my modded games is what this "downloaded" emblem on the mods SHOULD be for. To me it is a very handy archive for quite a number of things but above all it's a main 'endorsement' hand out portal as it gives you the opportunity within the overview to endorse as you can't endorse files at. 2.
