Disk space full with online only syncing. PM. Everything in my dropbox folder is set as online only for syncing. However I can no longer save a file to the drop box as it is saying my disc space is full. I thought online only with smart sync means nothing is stored on your computors hard drive. Any process that tries to access a file marked as online-only will cause Dropbox to download the file and mark it as local again. File backups, antivirus/malware scans, browsing a folder in applications with file previews enabled, etc. ANY process that touches a file can cause it. You don't have to do it one folder at a time. Select as few or as many folders and files as you want, even all of them. You can also right-click on the Dropbox folder itself and set it to Online-Only.
