Transferring a downloaded game file to steam

I own a game on both steam epic. I have the game files already downloaded on steam but not on epic. Can I move the files so epic can recognize maybe validate/download whatever else it needs to run the game through epic? I rather avoid downloading due to slow connection. When taking through this, I will refer to stuff as source and target. Target being the pc or files that you want to copy the games to. Open steam on the target PC.
